Arkson Truck Co. marks an exciting new chapter in vocational truck manufacturing with the acquisition of Stephenson Specialty Trucks, a longtime specialty truck builder based in Parsons, Kansas. The acquisition brings together an experienced truck-building team, proven vocational truck designs, and a family-owned manufacturing business with decades of experience producing components for the commercial truck industry.

Under the new Arkson Truck Co. name, the company is focused on building practical, purpose-driven vocational trucks for municipalities, contractors, utilities, waste haulers, and other businesses that depend on specialized equipment to get the job done.

Stephenson Specialty Trucks established a national reputation for designing and custom-building quality trucks around the needs of its customers. Its product offering included new and refurbished vocational truck equipment, custom truck configurations, and vacuum trucks built for heavy-duty commercial applications.

The acquisition allows that experience and knowledge to continue under a new name while creating an opportunity to expand production and develop the business for the future.

For the owners, Morgan and Chris Chandler, the acquisition is a natural extension of a relationship that predates Arkson Truck Co. Their family-owned manufacturing business, Chandler VAC has worked alongside Stephenson for years, producing components used in these specialty trucks. That history gives Arkson a well-established understanding of the equipment, the industry, and the customers who rely on their vocational trucks everyday.

Arkson Truck Co. is manufacturing a growing range of specialty and vocational trucks, including:

These truck configurations serve a wide range of applications across waste management, utilities, municipal services, contracting, construction, and other industries where well-engineered truck specialization is key.

Among Arkson's core products are vacuum trucks, including aluminum and carbon steel tank configurations designed for applications such as septic service, liquid waste handling, grease trap service, industrial work, and environmental services. The company also offers vacuum trailers and vacuum slide-in units for smaller operators or supplemental fleet capacity.

Combining Experience With Deep Manufacturing Knowledge

The formation of Arkson Truck Co. is about more than changing the name on the door. The goal is to combine Stephenson's experienced team and proven truck designs with the Chandler family's manufacturing background.

That combination creates an opportunity to improve production, expand the dealer and customer network, and continue developing practical truck configurations based on how customers actually use their equipment. As Morgan Chandler (CVO of Arkson) described the vision, Arkson is building trucks for the people who put them to work every day.

That customer-focused approach is reflected in Arkson's philosophy: "Your truck should solve your problems. Not be the problem." By emphasizing practical truck configurations, customizable builds, refurbishment services to breath new life into existing equipment, and trade-in options — Arkson is designing their business around making the process of purchasing or upgrading your vocational truck fleet as easy and straight-forward as possible.

A New Chapter for Specialty Truck Manufacturing

The acquisition of Stephenson Specialty Trucks gives Arkson Truck Co. a strong foundation from which to grow its presence in the industrial truck market.

With an established team, field-proven truck designs, extensive manufacturing expertise, and a focus on operator-focused configurations, Arkson is positioned to serve businesses looking for new, custom-built, and refurbished pre-owned vocational trucks.

From a custom vacuum truck for a septic or liquid-waste operation to a grapple truck, roll-off truck, or hook-lift truck for municipal, construction, utility, or waste-hauling applications, Arkson Truck Co. is building equipment around the work it needs to perform.

The acquisition represents a continuation of what Stephenson Specialty Trucks built while establishing a new identity and vision for the future. As Arkson Truck Co. expands production alongside its customer and dealer network, the company remains focused on one goal: building practical, dependable vocational trucks that help customers get more work done.
